The Mustang GT4 captured Pole Position in its debut at Daytona.
The Mustang GT4 car got its first win in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge GT class at Sebring 120 3/17/2017.
KohR Motorsports drivers Jade Buford and Scott Maxwell combined for the checkered flag.
“The car ran flawlessly and the strategy was perfect, — It feels good to get the first win for the Ford Mustang GT4. We were so close at Daytona, and in my mind, Sebring is just as special. It was a good win for KohR and Ford Performance and NanoProMT and we earned it.”
A Gutsy Performance at Watkins Glen
Dean Martin and Jack Roush Jr. battled through adversity to score another big win for the Mustang GT4. Jack Roush Jr. remained in second place for much of the race, and then the rain started. The team made a decision to pull the car in early, and put rain tires on. The decision looked to be promising until the track was littered with crashes. It took so long to clean up the track, that the rain had stopped once the race restarted. The car had to come right back into to swap tires again. By the time Dean Martin got on track the car was all the way back in 7th place. Dean battled for position on every turn, making his final pass on the last lap. There was light contact in the corner as he made his final pass, and the KohR Motorsports driver escaped with the victory.
